All Metro Games in Order to Play all Metroid Games in Order, based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s books. One of the most thrilling post-apocalyptic survival games is the Metro series. This trilogy of games is more than shooters and strategies. It is a story with great detail that tells us about the world after the nuclear attack on Russia.
Metro Redux is a remaster of the two first games in the series, released on August 26, 2014. The visuals have been improved. and more realistic gaming elements have been added. That is an excellent game.
Metro 2033 Metro Games
Nuclear war ravaged much of the world, including Russia. But some survivors were able to survive in the underground Metro system. In the Metro, they lived a life of intense survival in tunnels filled with mutant creatures. And the threat of radiation and other poisonous elements.
It was a difficult place to live. And the surviving humans formed factions as they fought for resources, supplies, and shelter. They also struggled against mutated animals and paranormal horrors. While the remnants of a previous war continued to ravage the surface above.
In Metro 2033, you play Artyom, a survivor from before the war who grew up in the tunnels beneath Moscow. Eventually, one event triggers his desperate journey to the surface city of Polis. Seeking help for his family and his friends.
It’s not for every first-person shooter fan. But it’s an interesting game that has a lot to offer to the right kind of player. It can be incredibly stressful and unsettling. But it also offers an engrossing story that will keep you playing.
Metro Last Light
After a devastating nuclear war, humanity escaped into the underground tunnels of the Moscow Metro. An air-raid shelter that has become their last refuge from mutated monsters and mass radiation. But it’s not all good news.
As Artyom, a Ranger with telepathic abilities. You’re tasked with finding the Dark Ones that plague the surface. And thwarting a plot involving three of the Metro’s major factions. You’re also tasked with tracking down a lone survivor and investigating rumors of a bunker called D6. That contains a treasure trove of weapons and medicine.
Like the first game, Metro Last Light takes place in a grim post-apocalyptic world. That’s been completely buried by nuclear fallout and populated by mutant creatures and harsh acid rain. Much of this game takes place on the shattered surface of the metro. It is a terrifyingly haunting and desolate environment. That works wonders in dislodging any sense of safety from your character’s gas mask.
After a quarter-century of nuclear war. A small number of survivors cling to life beneath the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. They’ve survived the poisoned elements, fought mutated creatures, and suffered the flames of civil war.
A new trailer for Metro Exodus, the upcoming third entry in the series, was unveiled at Gamescom 2018. This new glimpse at the game shows. How the game expands from its predecessors’ claustrophobic tunnels. And radiated cityscapes to a more open world.
It’s still a survival horror-based game. But it’s also an epic adventure that takes players across a continent in search of a new life after the fall of Moscow. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the beautiful scenery that will be featured in the game.
Metro Exodus is scheduled for release in 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s being developed by 4A Games, who previously worked on the ARKTIKA VR first-person shooter.
Metro: Last Light Redux
One year after the events of Metro 2033, the remaining humans escaped into the Metro tunnels. But the surface has also been destroyed and mutated creatures are rampaging throughout.
It is a grim reminder of what a plight mankind has become. But there are some moments of genuine terror. And horror in Last Light reminds players what made Metro 2033 so great. Chapters are populated by spider-like beasts that hate the light. Or areas dotted with a variety of mutated animals, are both terrifying and entertaining.
As a whole, Last Light does a better job of creating a world that feels much more alive and dangerous than 2033’s. The surface world’s harsh acid rain, mutated animals. And haunting sounds are all a lot more effective in making players feel vulnerable. Then in 2033’s claustrophobic underground tunnels.
