DMX’s career
DMX’s rap career took off in the late 1990s. His debut album sold 251,000 copies in its first week. His next album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, sold over 5 million copies. It’s single “Party Up (Up in Here)” was his first Top Ten R&B hit. Today, DMX still sells mixtapes and continues to perform. But where does he find time to perform?
Although DMX is now out of prison, his career isn’t over yet. He has recently undergone a series of rehab sessions for substance abuse. A rep for DMX has apologized for the cancellations of his gigs and thanked his fans for their support. DMX has to overcome his addiction to drugs and alcohol. After serving his time in rehab, he is expected to be back in the spotlight for his upcoming Verzuz battle against Snoop Dogg in July 2020. His recovery will require a lot of fan support.
DMX was born Earl Simmons in Mount Vernon, New York. His mother, Arnett, was 19 years old when she gave birth to him. She raised him in the Jehovah’s Witness community. His mother abused him when he was a child and the young DMX struggled to find a loving and nurturing home. The abuse led to his misbehavior on the streets, but he later returned to the boys’ home, where he grew up as a successful rapper.
Family
Family Dmx has been the subject of many rumors since he was put on life support last Friday. The rapper had suffered three heart attacks from an overdose and was in a vegetative state when he was put on life support. The rapper’s fans prayed for his recovery. The family released a video of their son’s birth on YouTube in hopes that he would be able to return home.
Death
DMX died in a mysterious manner, on April 2nd, 2019. According to reports, the rapper had overdosed on narcotics. His death is a shocker to the Hip Hop community, and the drug overdose theory appeared plausible. But when Irv Gotti prematurely commented on DMX’s death, he revealed that DMX died from cocaine. The rapper’s death has caused an uproar, and there are many theories as to what may have caused his death.
According to TMZ, the rapper was deprived of oxygen for nearly 30 minutes before his passing. The cause of his death was not immediately known, but the death was attributed to a drug overdose and a heart attack. However, no details were given as to the drug overdose. In other news, DMX’s new single, “X Moves,” was released by Cleopatra Records. The track “X Moves” is a collaboration with music legends.
Despite these theories, DMX’s longtime attorney, Murray Richman, denied DMX had COVID or received the COVID-19 vaccine. His son, Griselda, was buried with him at the hospital. After he died, his family gathered outside the hospital to hold a candlelight vigil in his honor. The vigil was a moving scene: fans crossed their arms to form the letter X. During the tribute performance, a recording by DMX reverberated.
Comeback album
DMX recently announced that he is working on a comeback album. The album is said to be a proper follow-up to his 2012 ‘Undisputed’ album, and he has revealed that features from Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne will appear on the record. Several members of his Griselda crew are also set to appear on the album. DMX has also announced that he will collaborate with Bono on the album.
Rehab stints
It’s been reported that DMX checked back into rehab in October after suffering a relapse. The rapper was in good health before his most recent rehab stint, but this time he is reportedly back at it. What happened? In a recent Instagram post, DMX shared his condition and canceled a few upcoming concerts. Fans were quick to offer their support, and the news quickly spread.
During his latest stay at a rehab facility, DMX was reportedly undergoing treatment for a heart condition. His attorney told PIX11 News that the rapper was hospitalized as a result of a heart attack. He is still receiving life support, which is unusual for someone his age. DMX struggled with drug and alcohol addiction throughout his career. While he’s been sober since the early 2000s, his initial drug problems were a result of poverty. His parents, Joe Barker and Arnett Simmons brought him up in a gang.
In recent years, DMX has been struggling with drug addiction and has been forced to cancel some of his tour dates in order to receive treatment. In 2016, he suffered an overdose and had to be revived by a medic. DMX was only released from the hospital two days after the overdose. He also has to attend treatment for alcohol addiction and drug addiction. This has forced him to stop drinking and smoking marijuana.
Daughter claims to be DMX
DMX’s 15 children are awaiting justice in court. The 15th child, Raven Barmer-Simmons, is claiming to be the rapper’s daughter. Raven has already contacted the other DMX children, including his daughter, to prove her connection to the rapper. If the DNA test proves she is DMX’s daughter, the rapper’s estate will be split between her siblings.
The rapper has previously spoken about his drug addiction and childhood trauma. He revealed he started smoking crack when he was 14 and his mentor passed him some without telling him what was in it. He also said he was part of the hip-hop group Murder Inc, which was created by notorious producer Irv Gotti, and they achieved modest success. Regardless, his fans are waiting for a comeback from the rapper.
After DMX’s death, his estate will be divided equally among his 15 children. The exact amount of the inheritance has not been disclosed yet. The children’s debts to DMX’s creditors will need to be paid in full. The daughter’s claim is not yet final, but she is confident she is the rapper’s daughter. If so, she will receive $1 million after paying off her debts to his creditors.
Raven Barmer-Simmons has filed a lawsuit in court in an attempt to collect her projected share of her father’s estate. She also claims to have tried contacting the other 15 children of DMX, but to no avail. She insists she is DMX’s daughter and hopes that a DNA test will confirm her claim. But this is a big step in the process, and the court will have to decide for sure.
